From March 1 to 13, Scientific Malaysian will be organising our very first Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on our platform with Dr. Betty Kim Lee Sim, Founder of Protein Potential LLC and Executive Vice President of Process Development and Manufacturing at Sanaria Incorporated. Throughout this AMA session, registered members of Scientific Malaysian will have the opportunity to post questions to Dr. Sim via our online discussion platform.
The Dengue Tech Challenge 2016 aims to support proposals for collaborative projects that bring together experts from Malaysia and the United Kingdom to focus on commercialisation of dengue-related research and products in Malaysia. The total fund pledged by PlaTCOM Ventures for Malaysian Principal Applicants from winning teams through the High Impact Programme 2 is RM 3 million, whilst the total fund pledged by the British Council for UK Principal Applicants from winning teams through the Newton-Ungku Omar Fund is GBP 500,000.
Cancer Research Malaysia, together with University of Malaya (UM) and Monash University Malaysia jointly initiated the 1st Malaysia Zebrafish Disease Model Workshop on 11 and 12 November 2015. The 2-day workshop was held in Subang Jaya, Selangor and was attended by nearly 70 scientists from prominent local universities and scientific institutes.
For the last 10 years in Malaysia, it has been L’Oréal’s long term commitment to accelerate the advancement of women in science that will serve as an inspiration for the future generations to come. Since its inception in 2006, the program has awarded and provided over RM700,000 research grants to 35 outstanding women scientists and will continue to change the numbers in Malaysia.
EURAXESS Links ASEAN and Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM) jointly organised the Effective Science Communication Workshop in November 2015 to train participants to effectively communicate their research ideas towards a wide and variable audience.
