National Science Challenge (NSC) 2016 is now open for registration. NSC is an annual science competition targeted to Form 4 students nationwide, who will stand a chance to win a study visit to Stockholm, Sweden to witness the annual Nobel Prize ceremony.
The Dengue Tech Challenge 2016 aims to support proposals for collaborative projects that bring together experts from Malaysia and the United Kingdom to focus on commercialisation of dengue-related research and products in Malaysia. The total fund pledged by PlaTCOM Ventures for Malaysian Principal Applicants from winning teams through the High Impact Programme 2 is RM 3 million, whilst the total fund pledged by the British Council for UK Principal Applicants from winning teams through the Newton-Ungku Omar Fund is GBP 500,000.
The Great Lab, organised by a group of undergraduate students passionate about science and supported by CREST Malaysia, is an innovation challenge open to all Malaysian students from pre-university level all the way through to postgraduate level. The aim of the challenge is to cultivate an innovative spirit within Malaysian students as well as expose our students to the scene of industrial research and development back home in Malaysia, through a comprehensive competition involving aspects of proposal writing, ideas pitching as well as eventual product design and development.
Undergraduates, postgraduates and young engineers, architects, technologists, industrialist of ASEAN countries are invited to use their innovative ideas and analytical skills to compete for one of three ASEAN ESTI Essay Writing Prizes. The Theme for the Essay Competition is ‘The Importance and Challenges of Promoting Science, Technology and Innovation Education to The Young Children in ASEAN Region’. The closing date for this competition is 31st of January 2014.
Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Universiti Malaya (UM) Master degree students emerged as joint-winners of the 2nd Outstanding Technopreneur Competition 2013 under the Young Intellectual Category. The Competition which was organized by Malaysian Scientific Association and WENCOM Career Consultancy and began in 2012 is one which provides career development for Science and Technology students with entrepreneurial potential.
Since 1999, MIT Technology Review, the world’s oldest and most respected technology publication, has identified the top young innovators under the age of 35. The search is on for 10 individuals from Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand whose superb technical work promises to change the world. The goal is to recognize the development of new technology or the creative application of existing technologies to solve problems.
The 5th Technopreneurship & Innovation Symposium and Exhibition (TISE) 2013 is now open for registration. This year, it will be held at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur on the 6th and 7th of October.
The 4th Technopreneurship & Innovation Symposium & Exhibition (TISE) 2012, organised by the Malaysian Scientific Association (MSA) and WENCOM Career Consultancy (WENCOM) will be held on 21st and 22nd of October 2012 at Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. In conjunction with the TISE event, MSA and WENCOME are also organising the “100 Best Technopreneur Competition”.
