UTM researcher wins Falling Walls Lab Malaysia 2017

Falling Walls Lab is a forum to promote interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between young academics, entrepreneurs and professionals of all fields. The Falling Walls Lab Malaysia event was held recently at the Asia Institute of Medical, Science and Technology (AIMST) University, Kedah on the 15th of July 2017.

This event was supported by BUCHI Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as a sponsor partner and EURAXESS ASEAN and Academy of Sciences Malaysia as network partners.

Dr. Jaysuman B. Pusppanathan of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) took the 1st place with his presentation of “Breaking the Wall of the Unseen Flow Imaging”, while the 2nd place spot was claimed by Ms. Namani Srilahari of AIMST University with her presentation on “Breaking the Wall of mosquito borne diseases”. Dr. Mohd Nazri Bajuri, also from UTM, won the 3rd place with his presentation of “Breaking the Wall of Mecahnobiology and Humanity”.

The first place winner of Falling Wall Lab Malaysia will take part as finalist at the Berlin Lab on 8 November, among 100 innovators to present their work in front of a renowned jury and attended the Falling Walls Conference on 9 November, meeting the world’s leading thinkers and high-ranked representatives of science, business and the innovation industry.
