News: University of Sheffield launches partnership with Malaysia

The University of Sheffield’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Keith Burnett will this week (4 – 11 April 2016) visit Singapore and Malaysia. A key focus of the trip will be to learn more about the region’s strengths in science, engineering and economic growth – meeting with a number of leading scientists, industrialists and educational leaders – and to launch the University’s Kuala Lumpur office.

Grant: Dengue Tech Challenge 2016

The Dengue Tech Challenge 2016 aims to support proposals for collaborative projects that bring together experts from Malaysia and the United Kingdom to focus on commercialisation of dengue-related research and products in Malaysia. The total fund pledged by PlaTCOM Ventures for Malaysian Principal Applicants from winning teams through the High Impact Programme 2 is RM 3 million, whilst the total fund pledged by the British Council for UK Principal Applicants from winning teams through the Newton-Ungku Omar Fund is GBP 500,000.
